1. INDUSTRY FORUMS: Meetings held with organizations or individuals, actively promoting the interests of the development community. GTDI's focus is on providing opportunities to discuss and learn about common issues and solutions.
2. GOVERNMENT LIAISON: As a recognized industry representative, GTDI has actively pursued issues affecting the development sector. GTDI is regarded by local municipalities as a voice for the development sector.
3. COMMUNICATION: GTDI holds bi-monthly meetings with relevant speakers. In addition, several special events are staged each year including the Spring Dinner and Annual Fall Conferences as well as other social activities and committee work opportunities.
4. EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Members are informed of upcoming conferences, seminars and workshops. GTDI is recognized as a local leader in staging conferences on matters affecting local communities.
5. NETWORKING: Regular meetings, committee involvement and ongoing events provide opportunities to meet with counterparts and others involved in the planning, development and construction sectors.
